A MESSAGE TO OUR CHURCH AND PARTNERS
An Official
Statement
from Pastor
To our church family, partners, and friends:
It's a sad day for Texas and our nation. But it is not a sad day for the kingdom of God.
We have done our part as conservatives and Christians to stand for biblical values in our nation and in our state. Satan has always warred for the heart of America, which was founded on Christian values. This is what has made our nation great: a nation that fears the Lord, has had prayer in schools, has honored the Ten Commandments, and has stood for godly values. America has been a light and a beacon in the world.
Long before we were a nation, Christian faith was woven into the tapestry of our colonies: the Pilgrims declared their voyage was undertaken “for the Glory of God, and Advancement of the Christian Faith.” That heritage carried into our founding era, when several state constitutions required public officials to affirm Christian faith or the divine inspiration of Scripture.
Texas has been a shining state for conservatism and biblical values. I know many who have served in the House and Senate as strong Christians—church-attending, Bible-believing leaders who have voted that way when making our laws.
Seeing the blue wave last night, especially in Texas, is saddening but not shocking. The agenda for Texas has been unfolding for years, with millions of foreigners flooding into our state and millions of liberals moving here. Many flee their areas because of the conditions created by the Democratic Party, yet end up voting for that same party, hoping something will be better under a new promise of change.
I am saddened by what this means for our nation's future and our freedoms. I am concerned about allowing foreign invaders and migrants to dictate policy. I believe this will change the landscape of Texas and make the future of conservative presidential candidates more uncertain.
Democrats will turn Texas into a sanctuary state, return to the border policies we saw under Biden, and open the border to millions of people entering illegally. They will come against gun rights, and the United States will begin to look more and more like the United Kingdom. They will allow Islamic ideology to gain influence over our laws and public life.
They will attempt to reverse the overturning of Roe v. Wade, pack the courts, and use this blue wave to push many things that advance their satanic agenda.
That is the sorrow and sadness of what this means for our country's future. Yet in the midst of it, we have hope.
OUR HOPE AND OUR CALLING
I want to reiterate where I stand and where we stand as Remnant Church: we are living in the best time in the history of the world to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to see revival come to our nation. Sometimes things get harder, and the world gets darker so that the light of the church and the light of the Lord Jesus Christ can shine brighter on the earth.
We can grieve for our nation and still have faith for our generation. Paul spoke of the great heaviness and continual sorrow in his heart for his own people. He wrote, “Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved” (Romans 10:1, KJV). Jeremiah wept for his nation and his people. Many of the prophets were saddened for their own country and their countrymen. We, too, mourn when our nation turns away from God. But our grief must lead us to prayer and to preaching the gospel.
In a moment of crisis for his country, Patrick Henry declared, “There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations.” Our ultimate confidence is in that God—not in an election outcome.
Look at Moses, who stood before Pharaoh and stood for God in his generation. Look at Esther, who stood in faith to prevent the extermination of her people under a wicked government. Look at the prophets: some warned of impending judgment, while others, like Daniel, lived in captivity. They were righteous men who stood in ungodly generations.
Look at Elijah, who stood against the prophets of Baal, and the 7,000 who had never bowed their knees to Baal. A remnant always remains, and we will be that remnant in our generation.
Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world” (John 18:36). When His apostles asked whether He would restore the kingdom to Israel, He pointed them to the power of the Holy Spirit and their calling to be His witnesses (Acts 1:6–8).
That is our calling. We are not preaching the political kingdoms of this world, nor are we representing them. We represent Christ and His kingdom, and we stand for that kingdom.
In the New Testament, the church of the Lord Jesus Christ thrived and flourished under the Roman Empire, even amid oppression and persecution. Though the empire they lived under was wicked, the Christian church prospered. Because of its inherent power, the gospel will go out and prosper.
WE WILL CONTINUE TO PREACH THE GOSPEL
So we will continue to do what we have always done as a church: preach the gospel. We have preached it under Democrats, and we have preached it under Republicans. We have always said that neither is our victory, neither is our source, and neither is our savior. The Lord Jesus Christ, and Him alone, is our Savior.
When a nation fears the Lord, blessed is that nation. When a nation turns away from God and turns to wicked leaders, we have much to fear for that nation. But as for me and my house, as for our church and what we stand for, we will continue to preach the good news of Jesus Christ.
We will pray for our state—the great state of Texas. We will pray for our country—the greatest country in the world. We will stand for righteousness and biblical values in our generation.
And I declare that in the midst of the depravity, wickedness, sin, and turning away in our country, we will also see a great revival—a great spiritual awakening. America has seen great waves of revival and mighty moves of the Holy Spirit: in the days of George Whitefield and Jonathan Edwards during the Great Awakening, Charles Finney during the Second Great Awakening, and Billy Graham and others in later generations. We will lift that banner in our generation. We will preach that same gospel, and I believe we will see another great move of God in our nation.
We will continue to see millions of souls saved, healed, and delivered as we stand in the boldness and the fire of the Holy Spirit for our generation.
The gospel didn't lose in a vote last night. The gospel reigns supreme, and the Lord Jesus Christ reigns supreme over the nations.
